Plastic fragments coming out of the bladder into my mouth made me feel sick.

I have had and liked my Source Widepac 3L bladder for a couple of years. However I just took it out on the mountains last week and found that as I drank, I found small pieces of plastic coming into my mouth from the bladder or tube. I have always carefully washed and dried the bladder after every use. I was horrified and disgusted. I do not want pieces of plastic coming from my water source into my body. Some of the pieces were big enough to stick in my teeth. Is this normal? Does this happen to other people? Is it to do with the "glass like" technology delaminating? I would like to know as this really surprised me.

Best hydration bladder!

I’ve been using Source for over a 15yrs and this in the only bladder over encountered that does not have that nasty plastic taste. Now it’s the only bladder me and my family use.

Great bag, easy to clean!!

I’ve had the 3L model and have used it for several summer and winter seasons. It’s easy to clean. It’s still in great condition. I bought again because I was frustrated with my son’s bladder that came with his Osprey pack (never were we able to get all of the gunk out of the bag), so I bought this 2L as a replacement. The glass-like technology is truly awesome. It fits his Osprey pack no problems. Thanks!
