Great product. Use in my Salamon rucksack, reseviour compartment with tube attached to strap. Very easy to drink while running. Does not leak and water stays relatively cool.

Just used this product in conjunction with a small LoweAlpine rucksack for the 4-day Inca Trail to Machu Piccu. Brilliant system, stored plenty of water and no leaks at all.

Just came back from a month long tour of Alaska, with two bladders - one was Source. Pretty soon we just stopped filling the other one, because it got stains and a funky smell from the week long use and purifying solutions.
The Source one had no such problems!
Never leaked - even under a full, oversized backpack.
Downsides- Closing the bladder's top can get tricky if you really want fill it up all the way, and it isn't comfertable to hold outside the backpack (but not having a handle saves space... so...)
All in all - the best bladder i've used. No leaks, No smells, the tube comes out, and it can stand a LOT of pressure.
Way to go!

Got this for my Queen Scout Expedition. Used over 4 days and 87 kilometres and didn't let me down once. Held water well, the connector is very reliable and the bite valve is very handy. Totally didn't leak and fitted well in the side pocked of my 85ltr rucksack. Great value for money!

Best I have used for trekking and hill walking. No leaks, bad taste or growths in the bladder.
Great. Affordable price too.

Why did you remove that opening in the closing bracket for the rucksack strap?

They didn't, it's still there (in the closure and handle)...

Hi,
Ive used the source widepak with my salomon, I have to say it was a great innovation for the drinking tube to be removable without leaks.
However the joining area of the mechanism and the tube came loose just after 1 month of use. The fitting because unusable and I could not fit the mechanism back into the housing. Perhaps a change in design to make the detaching mechanism a permanent part of the bladder would be good for the next version.

Bad Luck - return it to the store and replace it... I had one of the Salomon systems, they have the older Z valve, which Source replaced with the much better Helix (that I use almost every day)...

I have nothing but good things to say about this hydration bladder. The wide mouth up top makes putting ice in the bag super easy. Because there are no screw threads there are less crevices for grim buildup and sugar deposits if you use those kinds of drinks. It also feels like a quality thickness. I never feel like I need to baby in fear of puncture.

Well, I have tried camelbak, and platypus, and now Source, and can honestly say Source are the best by far! (and for me the longest lasting). The features tick all the boxes: easy to clean, fill, and hangs securely and stable in my pack.
I have had my Source for 3 years now and it really is just like new. 5stars to Source for outstripping the competition and producing a truely useable product at a very reasonable price.
